Our company
The company, Sea Technology AB, was started by Bengt Lundquist in 1972 and has been constructing and supervising building of ships, oil rigs and handled large repairs and conversions of a large number of vessels. The company was for a period owned by the large STC/Volvo-Group. The company is now owned and headed by Bengt Lundquist, who is a Naval Architect from Chalmers Technical University in Gothenburg. Bengt has a degree in mathematics from Lund University. We have designed very large vessels, vessels of new types, large submersible vessels, oil tankers, roro vessels and combined containers/car carriers. We are now working with a container port project.
Mission
Our mission is very clear - provide the best and fully tested designs and solutions for our customers. We want to change the world of transport and the usage of our ocean. It's time to make the waters smart and use them better and more sustainable. By doing so we can protect sensitive shore areas, nesting grounds and add to our possibilites our reaching the SDG targets. With smart ports and waters designed by Sea Technology and our partners, this is possble. How? Today many of the ports, like Rotterdam, are dredging to be able to handle the increaslingly larger vessels. This and all the rest of the operations of a port is a legacy of the past. The places where ports were made is a heritage from the past and today the same choices would not have been made. We belive we can move many operations of a port out from land to the ocean and have a floating port/termnal. By doing so, we can restore land and sealife and also provide more optimized business for the ports and industires - in a sutainble approach. A win win.
